    Announces 2019-2020 Board of Directors
    Three New Board Members Representing Colorado, Birmingham, Alabama and Nashville Join the National Board
    Santa Ana, Calif., August 8, 2019 - The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) is pleased to announce the election of the 2019-2020 Board of Directors. The 2019-2020 Board of Directors was ratified by the membership at the annual Summer Conference hosted by TECNA Member Wisconsin Technology Council in Madison, July 23-25, 2019.Three new board members were appointed from across the US.
    "I look forward to the work of our newly appointed TECNA Board Members," said Doug Robertson, Chair of TECNA and President and CEO of Venn Innovation Inc. "TECNA continues to grow and membership is at an all-time high from across the United States and Canada. We have much planned this next year to support the growth of our members including more opportunities to share best practices, engage in public policy advocacy and address important industry challenges such as access to talent and workforce diversity."
    TECNA serves its members and the tech industry through its strong peer-to-peer network, benchmarking research and sharing of best practices.
    New Appointments to 2019-2020 Board of Directors:
    Frannie Matthews, President and CEO of Colorado Technology Association
    Deon Gordon, President and CEO of Tech Birmingham
    Brian Moyer, President and CEO of Greater Nashville Technology Council
    Ten other executives currently serve on the TECNA Board of Directors:
    Doug Robertson, President and CEO of Venn Innovation Inc., Chair of the TECNA Board of Directors.
    Julia Kanouse, President & CEO, Illinois Technology Association and Ryan Weber, CEO, KC Tech Council, Board Vice-Chairs.
    Matt Gardner, CEO, California Technology Council (CTC), Board Treasurer.
    At-large Board members are: Skip Newberry, President and CEO, Technology Association of Oregon; Avvey Peters, Chief Strategy Officer, Communitech; Brooks Raiford, President and CEO, North Carolina Technology Association; Kathy Knight, CEO, Information and Communication Technologies Association of Manitoba; Michael Schutzler, CEO, Washington Technology Industry Association; and Brian Kennedy, Senior Vice President, Operations & Strategic Programs, Pittsburgh Technology Council.
